Hello. Some questions vis a vis the upcoming SGI Screamernet release.

1) Does it run under IRIX 5.2?

2) Can the Amiga server be a lowly A1200 (stock + whatever HD space is
required for the scene files)?

3) Can you save the IFF24/Targa files to the SGI's drive?

4) Is there an Ethernet adaptor for the 1200? IE, one that hangs off the
serial/parallel port, or the expansion space?

5) Does the A1200, assuming the above conditions are met, need more
memory, ie enough to load the scene? (I would think not...)

6) Is there a MSRP yet?

My reasons for asking:

I have a 4000 at home, with 3.5 standalone on the way. I have at work 6
SGI machines, just sitting there waiting to be used. (well, not just
sitting there but y'know...) I want to leave my 4000 at home, as I prefer
to work there on animations, and use my A1200 as the interface to the SGIs
for Screamernet. Possible? Without blowing the bank. All Amiga
expenditures are my own, whereas all SGI/Accom stuff is at work, so I'm
trying not to blow too much on souping up the 1200 or buying another 4000,
or God forbid, hauling the 4000 to work whenever I want to render. Urgh.
